d3.pointer does not work with touch (d3.js, v7)

I have the following problem:

I have implemented a globe using d3 v7. To make the globe draggable I have added the required functions. With the mouse everything works wonderfully. But then I noticed that the touch does not work with this version.

gpos0 = projection.invert(d3.pointer(event, this));

If I now change my d3 version to v5 and display the code as below. Then the touch works.

gpos0 = projection.invert(d3.mouse(this));

Is there anything I need to note for version 7 or add that it also works with touch?
