How to trigger Chrome's "save page as complete webpage" using javascript?

Is there any way using javascript to control chrome to save the complete webpage? (Manually, I right on chrome, and click on "Save page offline for later reading..." in context menu, and then save the page as type "Webpage"? How to do the same, i mean saving the webpage in it's state, not just skeleton html? I heard of Google pupeteer can do this job as well, what's that thing? Thank you for any help you could do.
