When using Matomo (Web Analytics) is there any way to correlate the logged in user to particular events?

I'm evaluating Matomo v4. I can see in the database tables (and admin reports) that users are tracked in the visitors log. However, it looks like any events you track are not tied to any particular user. While it's important to see navigation and events in general, it would be helpful if you could track behaviors/events per user. Is this possible? For example, in addition to stats like some event was triggered 14 times, also see stats like Bob Jones triggered that event 2 times out of the 14.
