Matriz de objetos en Javascript

Estoy estudiando Javascript y tengo este programa de muestra que muestra cómo usar un módulo.

Hay una matriz de "productos" y no pude averiguar qué debe hacer "productos [nombre del producto]" en este programa. Si entiendo correctamente, en Javascript, una matriz siempre usa índices numerados y no funciona si usa índices con nombre.

Tanto como esperaba, esta matriz de objetos está hecha en este programa.
