Javascript DOM nested DIV

Is there any way to access something with nested div? I am trying to change edit the hello world, however since there is more than one class under row I don't exactly know how to access it. I tried using the code below in the first block. I don't think it works because querySelector outputs an array, but I am not exactly sure how to fix this. I manually typed the code so there may be a few typos. Any help would be appreciated!

variable = document.querySelectorAll(".container")

second_variable = variable.querySelectorAll(".testing").
<div id = container>
     <div class = row>
        <div class = "testing">hello world</div>.
        <div class = "testing">hello world</div>
     </div
     <div class = row>
        <div class = "testing">hello world</div>.
        <div class = "testing">hello world</div>
     </div
</div>
