JS: Select distinct on object array

I want filter out the repeated array elements, depending on some fields. For example:

[
    {id: 1, type: "A", active: true},
    {id: 2, type: "A", active: true},
    {id: 3, type: "B", active: true},
    {id: 4, type: "B", active: false},
    {id: 5, type: "C", active: true},
    {id: 6, type: "C", active: false},
    {id: 7, type: "C", active: false},
    {id: 8, type: "C", active: false},
]

The result should be:

[
    {type: "A", active: true},
    {type: "B", active: true},
    {type: "B", active: false},
    {type: "C", active: true},
    {type: "C", active: false}
]

Just like, in SQL:

SELECT DISTINCT type, active FROM sourceArray
