how to relate a custome visual with native visual in power bi?

I making a custom date picker in power bi and I want to relate it with a native visual in power bi. what I want is filter native visual by changing the date in my date picker for example I want to show sales between two dates that user can select from custom date picker. how can filter a native visual from custom visual?

Regarding what you describe, there shouldn't be a difference in behavior between a native slicer and a third-party one. What they do is apply a filter on the given column.

What you might want to check for is that you follow the best practice on handling date by having a separate date table with a one-to-many relationship with your fact table and a one-way filter flow.

Meaning you date table filters your sales tables.

Otherwise you might end up in weird behaviours on visual where date aren't available in the slicer and so on.
