I'm new to web development and have decided to create a Progressive Web Application for a library using PUG, JavaScript(vanilla I think) and PhpMyAdmin. (You can browse its book collection, read a preview and ultimately reserve a book for check which is a work in progress.) I've successfully displayed the books that belong to my books table onto the web-page but now I want to be able to filter through that list with a search bar to make it easier for the "users".

I've looked at some examples done in PHP but I still don't understand the language so its a bit confusing. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
