Accessing TD elements with large data, slows down with the element fetching & new class addition

When accessing the element (table > td) with large child data's, it takes time to add class for the particular(td) element dynamically.

For eg:)

In the below shared sample, the following are configured

  • Large data loaded inside the table td element.
  • accessing the td element using the closest and adding a new class for it.
  • It takes approx minimal second of (1.3).

Sample: https://stackblitz.com/edit/5pkqds-6hu2k9?file=index.js

Is there a way to reduce the delay, which is introduced when accessing the DOM element in JavaScript with large child data's ? (Or) is this delay common for large DOM elements accessing?

Any suggestion are most welcome..!
