How to create an animated Navbar Selector on React?

I've been learning some React lately, got to the React Router point where switching between navLinks doesn't refresh the whole navigation bar. I designed this selection Active using normal JS, HTML, and CSS, where the Active link moves to other Navlinks when clicked with an animation from left to right or right to left, but I can't manage to do this on React, is there any way to do this in React without bootstrap?

<div class="wrapper">
  <nav>
    <ul>
      <li class='home'>
        Home<div class="selector"></div></li>
      <li class='services'>Services</li>
      <li class='about'>About</li>
      <li class='contact'>Contact</li>
    </ul>
  </nav>
</div>

I don't know how I would manage the DOM like that in React Thanks in advance!
