innerHTML espera una cadena. Lo estás configurando en una matriz. Entonces, el motor ejecuta toString() en la matriz que devuelve todos los índices separados por una coma.

Si desea controlar cómo se genera, debe usar el método join().

Ningún carácter sería result.join('')
