Diferentes registros para la misma variable global (Node.js)

Tengo este código en mi aplicación Node.js.

El registro dentro de forEach da el resultado deseado, pero el que está fuera forEach da una matriz vacía.

 let biddedListings = []; bids.forEach(async (bid) => { const listing = await ListingModel.find({ _id: bid.bidOn }); biddedListings.push(listing[0]); // console.log("bidded", biddedListings); }); console.log("bidded", biddedListings);

¿Por qué la misma variable global está dando resultados diferentes? ¿Qué estoy haciendo mal aquí?
