Express API keeps trying on timeout

I have noticed that an API I have built using Express.JS that is hosted on Heroku seems to retry calls after they timeout or error out.

I know this may be solved with better error handling but is there some way to turn this off in Express? In this case I do not want calls to happen a second time. They are webhooks that hit my API. If for some reason or another they fail I don't want the api to try again.

I do have many logs to track these errors and will address them as they come in, but in the meantime i don't want multiple attempts.
