I have a static web site generated from markdown sources. Every page includes headings with anchors.

I need to validate external links to these anchors. Is it possible with JavaScript?

I tried document.getElementById() method, but it works only with downloaded html page if I'm not mistaken. Ping to page always receives 200 regardless of anchor existence.
