¿Cómo separar setTimeout en dos partes en jQuery?

Tengo este código con alert :

 input1=function() { alert('Hello!'); }; $(function() { $('#drop1').click(input1) });

y este código con setTimeout :

 $(function() { setTimeout(function() { $('#drop1').click(); }); });

Ambos trabajan. Pero quería dejar el segundo código ( setTimeout ) con la estructura del primero, la de alert . Algo como:

 input2=function() { setTimeout() }; $(function() { $('#drop1').click(input2) });

Código HTML :
