Openlayers prevent pinch rotate during pinch zoom

I noticed that when trying to zoom into my openlayers map on mobile via PinchZoom interaction, the pinch often unwantedly also rotates the map. I know that I can increase the rotate interaction's tolerance by setting its threshold option, but I would like to disable PinchRotate altogether during a pinch zoom instead.

I have tried to deactivate PinchRotate in a ol.View.on('change:resolution') handler and activate it again in a ol.Map.on('moveend') handler. However, this prevents rotating altogether because there does not seem to be any threshold on the PinchZoom interaction and openlayers seems to start zooming right away when just touching the screen with two fingers.

Has anyone been able to implement this behavior before or knows how to add a threshold to the PinchZoom interaction?
