MongoDB - How to push value inside of an object within another object?

Huge question, I have this object called infractions. It looks something like InfractionObj, I'm trying to access the ban element and push something to the array? How would I do so, I tried

...
$push: {infraction: {ban : {$each: DataLog }}}

Yet this didn't work for me..

// InfractionObj

{... infractions: {..., ban: []}}
